In the early eighties, Frenzelit began
manufacturing environmentally friendly gaskets,
replacing asbestos with newly engineered
non-asbestos type materials. The variety
of new materials for technical applications
provided a broad range of new products with
comparable profiles. Frenzelit was ISO 9001
certified in the spring of 1994, being one
of the first manufacturers of gasket and
insulation products to have this certificate.

Manufacturing of technical textiles started
as early as 1953 as a further extension of
our company. Experience in processing temperature-resistant
fibers combined with close cooperation between
our R&D department and specific research institutes
have created substantial innovations. Attention
to specific applications and environmental
considerations were the main motivation for
creating a versatile line of products.
